The Socitm Better Connected awards & party

All ticket holders for day one AND/OR day two of Connected Local Government Live will have free access the Better Connected Awards and party on the evening of 28 June.

The Awards will take place in the Gatehouse and Canopy.

Better Connected Awards winners will be chosen from our shortlist compiled from the Better Connected 2016/17 results.

At that point each of the UK’s 416 councils will know whether they have scored the top, 4* ranking for their website, or whether they have to settle for 3, 2, or 1 stars only.

The Better Connected Awards are for the best performing sites in a range of different categories including best council(s) for the online services in: 

  • Business
  • Council Tax
  • Parking
  • Planning and building control
  • Rubbish & recycling
  • Social care 

Best sites for: 

  • Access from mobiles
  • Search, navigation & A-Z
  • Accessibility for people with disabilities 

Best sites by: 

  • County council
  • Shire district
  • Metropolitan district
  • English unitary
  • London borough
  • Welsh unitary
  • Scottish unitary

After the Awards, the celebration!

Birmingham’s legendary street food, drinks, and a band, in our venue’s cool canalside setting.

Food vouchers can be bought when booking delegate places for day one or two (£12.50 + VAT each), with a limited number of vouchers available at the venue on the day. TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT WE STRONGLY ADVISE BOOKING YOUR FOOD IN ADVANCE.

A pay bar will be available.
